Lauren Eirk graduated from the University of Louisville with a BA in Art and French (Cum Laude). She went on to complete the course requirements and 500+ practical hours required for a Physical Therapy degree. She is a certified Mastery Level Resistance Training Specialist® and a Certified Mastery Level Muscle Activation Techniques™ Specialist. Lauren is a Certified E-RYT 500 Level Registered Yoga instructor and has spent over a decade presenting her unique application of biomechanical science to Yoga practices at fitness and mind-body conferences nationwide. The overwhelming interest in and success of these presentations led to her the creation of the innovative Yoga Integrated Science™ Program, Yoga I.S®
Lauren is the recipient of the ECA OBOW Award 2007 "Most Mindful Program" Award. Her work has been featured in such magazines as Yoga Journal®, Self®, IDEA® Fitness Journal, Fitness First Quarterly Magazine, AKWA Aquatic Exercise Magazine, New Woman Magazine, and Kentuckiana Health and Fitness Magazine. Lauren has a private MAT Personal Training Business in Louisville, and also teaches 8-10 weekly group classes in Yoga, Pilates, and Resistance Training. Lauren teaches in both the RYS 200 and RYS 500 level teacher training programs at Yoga East, Inc. in Louisville and currently pursuing her MS in Health Fitness Management.
