The three 3-day RTSM Advanced Hands-on Labs (Spine/Trunk, LE, UE) are conducted in both the RTS classroom and the RTS Teaching Skills and Equipment Analysis Lab.
RTSM is extremely detailed and is only for “thinkers”, not “followers”. That being said, an advanced level of questions and discussion is expected.
The scope of RTSM includes rehab, performance, bodybuilding, etc. as dictated by the interests and involvement of the attendees.
Full participation is required if one’s goal is to undergo the optional exam process.
Please note that while these can be taken over any time period from a few months to several years, there is a two-year limit if you are hoping to take the oral/practical exam and become RTSm certified.
After you have completed the prerequisite online lectures you make take the Advanced Hands-On Labs in any order, but the following is recommended.
- Spine/Trunk – 3 days
- Lower Extremity – 3 days
- Upper Extremity – 3 days
Please note:
- RTS is for the Exercise Professional, and therefore focuses on exercise design, execution, and delivery for the client.
- The scope of RTSM Labs includes the analysis and delivery of resistance exercises for “real people”, “general fitness”, as well as more complex goals and individuals including rehab, sports performance, bodybuilding, etc.
International attendees are advised to check US visa requirements and consider completely the necessary steps prior to registration. Wait times for visas are often altered by world and domestic situations.

Electives & Continuing RTS Education
- Beyond Isometrics
- CDU: Cuing, Doing, & Updates
- Continuum Training: Investigation & Progression
- The Hypertrophy Equation
These courses have been created for three reasons:
- To offer greater detail and practical experiences in very specific areas of interest and practitioner skill set acquisition
- To provide updates and “refreshers” for those who have not attended an RTS course in a year or two. Anyone who has returned for any specific course, even in as little as six months, knows very well that the information and/or it’s delivery is constantly evolving. Any student who hasn’t attending a course in 4 or more years is exponentially behind in the RTS evolution.
- To provide a non-prereqiusite introduction to RTS by learning directly from the founder and uniquely masterful presenter and industry innovator, Tom Purvis.
Details for each course can be found under “view details” next to the events on the schedule below.
